Women’s Discipleship Program
A women’s mentoring program developed in conjunction with several other community churches.
Women mentors walk alongside a female resident of the Good Shepherd Mission. Through discipleship and friendship a mentor helps guide her towards complete healing in Jesus Christ.
Christmas Caroling (December)
Sing Christmas carols door-to-door at Montgomery Meadows Retirement Community. Warm up afterwards with hot chocolate and cookies.
CASA Kids — Court Appointed Specialty Advocates (February)
Walker County currently has over 100 children in foster care that are represented by a CASA WORKER. In order to share our love, and most importantly, God’s love, with these foster children, Xtreme KIDS put together Bags of Love for them. A CASA worker hand delivers each bag to their CASA Kid.

Bill Glass Prison Ministry Luncheon (March)
Each year, in preparation for Bill Glass Ministries, a team of volunteers go into the prison to cook for — and serve lunch to — the guards and prison personnell as a way of saying ‘Thank you’ for their service to the community. For more information on Bill Glass Ministries click here.
Rodeo Outreach (March/April)
During the Walker County Fair and Rodeo, you can volunteer to serve in the Xtreme KIDS booth in one of the 2-hours slots. You get to paint faces and share the Gospel using a Cowboy Gospel craft (we provide literature is available to the community at no charge).
Kids Day at the Rodeo
Kids from all over Walker County visit the Walker County Fair and Rodeo on Tuesday and Wednesday during “School Days.” FOCUS ministries and CEF join together to offer free face painting and free lemonade to each of the 1700 children who attend on those 2 days. This is a great opportunity to help teachers and parents enjoy their day and see God’s love in action.
Easter Celebration (April)
Invite friends and come to the Fellowship of Huntsville Church’s Annual Easter Celebration where kids can play carnival games, go on an Easter Hunt and all get to hear the Gospel Message. This is a great way to encourage families to see what God’s love is all about during the Easter season.
This 4-day Carnival Event take place in out in our community. We need volunteers to help with games, face painting, serving snow cones, and sharing God’s Word. During this 4-day event, we build relationships and plant God’s Word into the hearts of the kids who attend. It is also our way to kick-off Xtreme Discipleship.
Xtreme Discipleship (Mondays)
This is a weekly follow-up to the Carnival Outreach. Volunteers visit specific locations throughout the community on a weekly basis to continue building relationships with singing, teaching and encouraging the study of God’s Word through daily Bible Lessons. Kids who attend are encouraged and rewarded for their hard work.
Day 4 Kids (September)
This community event is sponsored by the Boys & Girls Club and takes place at Emancipation Park. We provide a Gospel Craft for kids wo attend and provide additional information on the Gospel, Fellowship of Huntsville Curch, and Good News Clubs in the community.
Scare on the Square (October)
This October event occurs on the Downtown Square. A Fall Gospel craft is provided and information is given on the Gospel, FOHC, and Good News Clubs in the community.
Operation Christmas Child (November)
Operation Christmas Child demonstrates God’s love to children worldwide in a tangible way by delivering gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of Jesus Christ. Kids that receive a shoe box live in 3rd world countries and Samaritan’s Purse provides follow-up through weekly discipleship.
We fill plastic or cardboard shoe boxes and bring them to Fellowship of Huntsville. More information about Samaritan’s Purse is available here.
Bring your family or friends and volunteer for a day at Gospel Lakes as part of Child Evangelism Fellowship’s ministries. Serve Inner City Kids as they ride horses or fish for the first time. Kids and adults can serve. Go to Gospel Lakes for more information.
