Men’s Summer Class

Examining the Prosperity Gospel
Taught by: Various teachers will be teaching this class
Location: Student Center

We will be examining how the “prosperity gospel” and the “Word of Faith movements” have corrupted the messages of the Bible. We will be incorporating clips from the “American Gospel: Christ Alone” documentary into the class as we take topics from the prosperity movements and contrast them with the Scriptures and biblical doctrines.

Women’s Summer Class

Then Sings My Soul: Select Songs from Scripture
Taught by: Various teachers will be teaching this class
Location: Fellowship Hall/Gym

The Women’s Ministry of FOHC would love for you ladies to join us this summer as we experience Psalm 40:1-3 together, asking God to “put a new song in our mouth, a song of praise to our God, (so) many will see and will trust in the Lord.” Various teachers will share a favorite hymn, the history about that hymn, the Scripture the hymn is based on, what that Scripture and hymn have meant in their lives, along with an application for all of us. We will then sing the song together! All ladies college age and older to join us for enrichment, encouragement, and fellowship!

Living a Life of Outreach

Taught by: Campus Outreach Leadership
Location: Room 106

Evangelism is at the heart of the Church and every disciple of Christ. Whether it is full-time ministry or walking to your mailbox and seeing your neighbor, God has called us to love others. We do this in part by proclaiming the Gospel–for this is any person’s greatest need. The vision of this class is to train and equip God’s people to have evangelism on the forefront of their minds and teaching practical “how to’s” of sharing one’s faith. Full-time staff from Campus Outreach will be teaching this class.
